Some gardens may not need a full re-build and design, here at Swallow Garden Design, we understand that some gardens only require a ‘tweak’ with their layout or planting.
With so many websites, societies, magazines, reports and public opinion on what we should and shouldn’t have in our outdoor spaces, it is easy to become overwhelmed and confused. That is why we are happy to offer a Garden Advice Consultation to help you cut through the noise and provide you with a clear picture of where to take your garden. We can provide you with advice from simple planting suggestions and plans to creative advice on how to rewild your garden that the whole family can enjoy taking part in, and everything in between.
Are your borders deep or narrow? What plants should you grown in them? Have you thought about colour schemes and different planting styles. Whether you want us to enhance an old tired overlooked border or create a stunning flowing wildflower meadow, we will work closely with you to understand your needs, your favourite plants and what colours you like.
When you choose our Planting Plans and Advice Service, we will visit you and understand what you require from your garden, and produce bespoke planting plans, planting schedules (a list of the recommended plants) and we can even provide you with a maintenance plan for the coming year so that you know when to prune and when to sit back and enjoy the scents and colours.
The design process is split into various stages, we are happy to offer a package or undertake separate stages. Whatever you choose we will offer the best for your garden and your budget. Our aim is that you are completely satisfied with our products and services. That’s why we not only provide professional advice before you order: We are also there to help you afterwards, serving as reliable support.
This is where we get to meet you and discuss your ideas, your preferences, what you want from your garden and your budget.
Here we obtain a complete and accurate survey of your garden, plotting in every existing feature from plants to hardscape features. For larger, more complex gardens we may require a professional surveyor to undertake this process - but we will be there too.
Using the survey and your instructions, we produce a proposed design. We will meet with you to present this plan along with mood boards, visuals and sketches.
Once we have the approved design we produce detailed master plans ready for pricing by contractors. Although we do not build the garden for you we are happy to work alongside your chosen contractor.
These can be produced separately or along with the design concepts and master plans. We can plan your planting to fit any budget, colour or design, and can even suggest costings and where to source them.
Although we do not offer to build your garden for you, we are happy to help you choose the right contractor, and work closely with them to help provide you your garden
